The Roma road of Baños de Montemayor

This natural path has a distant origin. It is a Roman road, which stretched between Mérida (Emerita Augusta) and Astorga (Astúrica Augusta), and has been the subject of studies from the 18th century to the present day because its history and culture. In the driveway there is an interpretation centre of this.

The path crosses the village, preserving two sections of the route in the exits North and South. A network of sewers and bridges is connected to the road, such as the Cube sewer. In the Middle Ages it had the character of pilgrimage route, forming the route of the southern Jacobins.

The best places to visit in Extremadura

Near Baños de Montemayor you will find a variety of interesting places to visit, either for its historical legacy or for its great cultural offer. Some of those that we recommend you to visit and that are relatively close to Hotel Rural El Molino:
